Church Picnic; a New Directory

Hello, church family! This is Pastor Chuck. Because of my illness last week, the paper version of the newsletter will be a little late. (I am doing much better; thanks for the prayers.) I need to highlight a couple of important items here.

First of all, our annual church picnic is at Grogan Park in Gate City this Sunday. We will gather at Shelter 1 about 4 p.m. and eat around 5 or so. Bring a covered dish of your choosing and drinks for your family. The church provides ice, cups, plates, cutlery, napkins, tablecloths, salt and pepper.

Here's hoping we have good weather this year! Bring lawn chairs and recreational items, too.

Second, I know there's a strong desire for a revised church directory so all our new folks can get to know us, and vice-versa. We're going to attempt to use some new technology to speed up this process.

We have set up something called a Jotform, which is simply a web link that allows each family to answer some questions and upload a photo. From there, we will figure out how to take the information and make a directory out of it.

Please give it a try by going to https://form.jotform.com/242147877821161.

If you're not good with computers, don't feel left out. Just let one of us in the office know you need help, and we will get you in the database, too. We also will be making every effort to get our homebound folks' information in there. And yes, all of you who watch the service online regularly should make an entry, too.
