First of all, some prayer updates:

Both Mary Hartsock and her grandson, Brandice Hartsock, underwent similar eye surgeries Wednesday within a few minutes of each other. Both procedures are thought to have gone well. Let's be praying for their recoveries; let's also continue to pray for Tom Hartsock, son of Mary and husband of Toshiko, as doctors continue to find a way to correct his heart arrhythmia.

Please take note of a schedule change and an important opportunity this Saturday. The Methodist Men will begin their breakfast in the fellowship hall at 8 a.m. (Normally, they begin at 9 a.m. the first Saturday of each month.) This will allow the men to finish in time to help as people bring items for our flea market/church parking lot sale, which will be held Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8. Items for the sale can be dropped off this Saturday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Please price your donations!

This Sunday, Pastor Chuck will begin a sermon series in the Book of Daniel, telling some of the more intriguing stories found there. He'll begin in Daniel 1, if you want to take an early look at the Bible reading.
