Good News, and Upcoming Events
From Pastor Chuck:
First of all, a praise. Melanie Harris went home from the hospital today. Let's pray for her continued healing.
Remember our Fall Festival from 3-5 p.m. this Sunday. Invite your friends and neighbors to join us for food and fun! By the way, there will be no "Explain Yourself" apologetics class Sunday night. As part of his conference duties, Pastor Chuck has to be at a church in the Sevierville area.
Meet our new bishop! Lyndol Loyd, who lives in Texas, is touring the MidSouth Conference and will be in the Holston View sanctuary at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9. People from area GM churches are invited, too.
All church members are invited to attend our "cluster" charge conference at Crossroads Methodist Church Sunday, Nov. 15. Most of the churches in the Kingsport District will gather at 4 p.m. to worship, and in the process also take care of the formal requirements regarding annual church business. We are planning on a whole lot of exuberant worship and just a little business.
